Ethical business conduct
At Assemblin Caverion Group, business conduct and corporate culture are guided by applicable legislation and regulations, sustainability commitments, corporate values and group-wide governing documents. We are committed to acting in an ethical way and conducting business with integrity and honesty. We strive to foster a corporate culture where our employees and business partners are encouraged to do the right thing and to voice their concerns when they suspect unethical behavior or non-compliance. We see our ethics and compliance work as an important part of our company’s sustainability agenda. It is a key part of our efforts to combat the negative impacts of corruption and other unethical business practices on people, society and the environment.
Assemblin Caverion Group’s Code of Conduct outlines our ethical principles, responsibilities and our way of conducting business with integrity and honesty. Our Code of Conduct also defines our common ways of working and reflects our commitments towards customers and other stakeholders. Our Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the company’s minimum requirements for its suppliers to adhere to and to implement throughout their business and supply chain.
Our international commitments
We are committed to operating in accordance with internally recognised human rights and labour standards, such as the UN Global Compact, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Core Conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), and expects the same from our business partners.
Responsible supply chain management
Our supply base consists of both international suppliers and a large network of local partners located close to our business operations. For Assemblin Caverion Group, close collaboration with our suppliers is crucial to be able to react rapidly to changing business needs and changes in the external circumstances. We aim to build long-term relationships with our suppliers and partners, and treat them equally following applicable laws and regulations. We are committed to act responsibly across all our supply chain operations. Our expectations on our partners are laid out in the Assemblin Caverion Group’s Supplier Code of Conduct. As the governing basis for our supply chain due diligence, it covers topics related to social and environmental sustainability, as well as business ethics.
Our Supply Chain Due Diligence
Assemblin Caverion Group is continuously enhancing and developing it supplier due diligence processes and practices both in scope and depth, to systematically evaluate the suppliers' performance against the requirements as well as to identify and manage the ESG risks in the supply chain. Developing these processes and practices will help us build an even more robust, risk-based approach.
The identification and mapping of the risks is carried out primarily by analyzing the suppliers’ country and industry risks related to relevant sustainability themes such as environment, labor and human rights, and ethics. Considering the existing and future regulatory changes, mainly driven by the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and the Norwegian Transparency Act, the Company's efforts to identify and manage risks in its supply chain will increase.
